In addition to the common features of our cables mentioned above, this cable type features special interference-resistant connectors from Neutrik. Instead of the usual DC connection between pin 1 and the connector shell, they use an array of miniature capacitors. This arrangement offers distinctly improved protection from RF interference while simultaneously avoiding ground loops, and settles any controversy over connecting pin 1 to the cable shield once and for all.
Prerequisite for being interference-free
On devices where the cable is being operated, there can be no connection between pin 1 and the housing at input or output. In the simplest case, there is a ground lift switch which should be put into the "on" position (connection between housing and pin 1 removed). Failing that, in most instances a tool is required to disconnect the link.
