UDR700 Encrypted Digital Wireless
The
UDR700 receiver is a 19” half-rack 1RU design for
use with Lectrosonics 700 Series encrypted digital
wireless transmitters. The receiver provides a full
complement of controls and indicators for quick
setup and full information at a glance.
The 700 Series wireless system provides a
combination of CD quality audio with frequency
response to 20 kHz, a digital RF link operating on
standard UHF frequencies, and advanced encryption of
the transmitted signal for applications requiring a
high level of security. The audio quality is
perfectly at home in the most demanding studio and
stage environments, while the true cryptography used
in the transmitted RF signal is ideal for security
needs in corporate and governmental applications.
Audio is sampled at 44.1 kHz and digitized with a
24-bit converter at the transmitter input. The audio
data stream is digitally compressed, adding entropy
as a first step in a multi-level encryption process.
Random timings during setup on the receiver seed a
psuedo-random number generator to create a chaotic
scrambling sequence that is mixed with the
compressed audio data to generate a
cryptographically secure data stream. The signal is
decrypted in the the UDR700 receiver and output as
as analog audio on a balanced XLR connector, and
AES-3id digital audio on a BNC connector.

UDR200C
The UDR200C consists of two high performance,
triple-conversion receivers operating
simultaneously. The audio outputs of the receivers
are blended in a ratio controlled by the comparative
RF levels in the receivers. The multistage RF
front-end is a unique design that is tuned by a
microprocessor to the selected frequency. The RF and
audio performance is extremely stable over a very
wide temperature range, making the UDR200C perfectly
suited to mounting in studio equipment racks.
The UDR200C receiver design combines the performance
of a fixed frequency design with the frequency
agility of a synthesized design to alleviate
interference problems. There are 256 frequencies
that are user selectable in 100kHz steps. As the
frequency is changed, the front-end filters
automatically retune to follow the operating
frequency. Complete monitoring and control of the
receiver is available from the control panel of the
receiver or via remote computer control using the
serial port and supplied LecNet™ software.

DR175 / R175 / M175DC / H175DC
The
Digital Code System is a major technological
advance, offering the best solution to the most
common and incurable type of interference, which is
an external RF signal on or close to the wireless
operating frequency. Digital technology is combined
with advanced circuit and mechanical design for an
overall package clearly superior to any other
wireless system in this price range.
A digital code is factory programmed into each
transmitter/receiver combination to create a unique
control signal for the audio output, rather than
simply detecting the presence of an RF signal.
Another transmitter on the same frequency cannot
open the audio output on a DCS™ receiver, unless it
also has the same code. With 6561 different codes
available, and dozens of frequencies between 169 and
216 MHz, interference can easily be avoided. The
receiver will always remain completely silent during
idle periods. Clicks and pops at turn-on and
turn-off are also eliminated by the DCS system.
An advanced compandor system reduces noise and hiss
to inaudible levels, without the “pumping and
breathing” typical of lesser designs. A limiter in
the transmitter input prevents overload distortion
and further improves the signal to noise ratio of
the system.
The
single antenna R175 basic receiver (discontinued)
delivers the benefits of the DCS system at an
economical cost. The dual antenna DR175 diversity
receiver (discontinued) adds an advanced ratio
combining system with two separate receivers and
seamless Opti-BlendTM
combining to solve dropout problems in reflective RF
environments. Both receivers feature machined
aluminum housings and balanced XLR outputs for use
with the finest sound and recording systems.
Two
transmitter models are available to accommodate
virtually any type of microphone. The belt pack
model offers a locking connector and bias voltage to
work with any two-wire electret lavalier microphone.
The “plug-on” model transmitter will adapt any
hand-held dynamic microphone with an XLR connector
to wireless operation. A lavalier electret
microphone is included free of charge with system
packages that include the belt-pack transmitter.
All components in the DCS systems benefit from the
latest Surface Mount Technology and the ruggedness
of machined aluminum construction. |
