ACD 301 Time Code Slate
The ACD 301 time code slate has four
different display modes: generator, generator with a
time of day start up taken from an internal realtime
clock, reader/generator, in which the external code
is displayed when the slate is open, and the
internal generator code is displayed on closing, and
pure reader mode. Userbits from external or internal
time code can be displayed with a push of a button.
The time code frame at which the slate closed can be
displayed for two minutes after closing, for logging
purposes. The ACD 301 can identify the frame rate of
an externally connected code, and display errors of
up to two frames in 0.2 frame steps. There is also
an option of having a UHF receiver built into the
slate for an RF link from a time code source (ACD
301RF). |

ACC 101 Master Clock Generator
The ACC 101 controller is an extremely
accurate portable master clock and time code
generator/ reader which can be used to jam, read,
identify, and compare all time codes. All frame
rates are supported, and the frame rate can be
changed without losing time of day, enabling a
camera running at 24 frame and a recorder running at
25 or 30 frames to be jam-synced. The unique feature
of the controller is that its internal crystal
oscillator can be calibrated from four different
external sources: external time code, another ACC
101 unit, GPS satellite, or DCF radio clock. |

PSC
Digislate
The new PSC DigiSlate was developed for use
by the documentary-style recordist. This small and
rugged device contains a large, sunlight readable
liquid crystal display for scene and take numbering
from 1 to 99. The PSC DigiSlate also contains
an internal tone oscillator and slate microphone for
use in both clap syncing and voice slating.
Additionally, the PSC DigiSlate outputs a
regulated 5Vdc for use in triggering of external
devices such as the clap oscillator of a Nagratm
recorder.
The high
contrast, custom made, reflective negative image LCD
is designed to be readable from great distances. The
light silver number segments on a solid black
background offer superior character recognition for
both film and video. The display is always readable
whenever the unit is turned on and is only "blanked"
out for the duration of the "clap" thus the user may
easily read the take number at any time. The front
of the PSC DigiSlate is covered with a Lexantm
overlay that can be used with a dry erase marker or
grease pencil for additional take information. The
PSC DigiSlate is easily operated with one
hand and comes with a sturdy belt clip. A single 9V
alkaline battery typically provides more than 250
hours of operation. |
